How many times have you come across a web site that requires a specific version of Flash Player installed? Or a plug-in for QuickTime, Java or even Microsoft products?
Some software vendors, such as Adobe have a utility that will check for the plugin version (in this case Flash Player) installed in Firefox when you visit their site.
This is great, but imagine if you needed to visit every site for a specific plug-in just to check it's version. Forget it.
Instead there is an easy method to check plugi-n versions or if they are even installed in Firefox.
Just open up Firefox and in the address bar type about:plugins and press the Enter key.
You will see a list of all installed plugins:
Just scroll down to check the version of plugin that you are looking for, or press CTRL+F to display the Find function (page search) and enter the plug-in name you are looking for.
You can also Print the list or select Edit \ Select All from the menu and Copy to a text editor or Word document.
No more looking around the Internet to check on plug-in versions.

Awesome.. most of the time I used to install the flash player or silverlight again and get a error message "already latest version is running" this will be a best way to check the plugins installed .thx.
