linksyslogo.jpgIf you use Firefox browser when connecting to your Linksys wireless router administration interface, more than likely you can't and have seen this warning message:

linksys-cert-problem1

Consider yourself lucky if you do receive the same warning message, because it's an easy fix by:

 • clicking the link at the bottom of the error message, Or you can add an exception…
 • then click on the Add Exception button…
 • linksys-cert-problem2followed by clicking on the Get Certificate button (on the next screen) and clicking the Confirm Security Exception button at the bottom of the page.

The invalid certificate warning will not display the next time you connect to your router.

But for those of you out there (like me) that receives an error message similar to this…

192.168.1.1 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed.
The certificate is only valid for Linksys
(Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)

…here's a possible fix to get things working again when connect to your wireless Linksys router.

winlogo.jpgWindows operating systems has always been loaded with many shortcuts that can be used to perform tasks quickly and with less clicks to accomplish those tasks in fewer steps. Some of these shortcuts are well known while others may not be known to the average Windows computer user.

One example is with right click context menus. By right clicking on an object, f older or file, a menu is displayed allowing actions or commands to be executed.

But a lesser known or forgotten trick with right clicking, is to press the SHIFT key that displays extra options that are normally hidden.

winlogo.jpgEver have an application that just hangs and never returns to normal or terminate?

So you open up Windows Task Manager, find the application process, right click on it and select End Process.

Nothing happens! The process is still running and the dead application continues to cause high CPU utilization to the point where you can't do much with your computer.

You repeat the process. Nothing again. One more time…that process just won't terminate and die.

Now what?
