How To Remove Your Phone Number From Google
Most people do not realize you can search Google for publicly listed phone numbers and addresses. After entering a phone number, Google search results will return the name, number, street address, city, state and zip code along with a link to map directly to the street location of the searched number.
Nice feature unless your a parent or thought your number was un-listed. Fortunantly you can "un-list from Google" all information in their phone directory.
If your phone number is listed, the search will return your information, similar to the below search (without the blurred text):
Notice the "Map" link to the right of your address. Clicking on the link will bring up Google Maps with your street location (you can even get directions to and from your house!).
To remove your listing, click on the link that starts with "Phonebook results for…." which will bring you to Google's Phone Book site, then click on the bottom link labeled "Request to have your name removed from the list".
Fill out the form and submit (NOTE: removing your phonebook listing will not remove your personal information from other pages on the web or from other reverse phone listing lookup services).
To remove a business listing you will need to send a signed request on your company letterhead to the address below. Include a phone number at which you can be reached so that we may verify your phonebook removal request. Removing your listing is permanent.
